Heather Watson to play Caroline Wozniacki after Hong Kong win

British number two Heather Watson progressed to the second round of the Hong Kong Open with a straight-set win over qualifier Marina Erakovic.

Watson beat the New Zealander, who is 44 places below her in the rankings, 7-5 7-6 (11-9) at Victoria Park Tennis Stadium.

The Briton, 24, will next play former world number one Caroline Wozniacki, who earlier beat Saisai Zheng of China.

British number one Johanna Konta will later play compatriot Naomi Broady.
