The Canadian-Polish team beat fourth seeds Wesley Koolhof and Jean-Julien Rojer 7-6(5), 6-3 on Thursday to reach the quarter-finals in Halle. Another duo that made the last eight was fifth seeds Tim Puetz and Michael Venus, who ousted home favourites Yannick Hanfmann and Dominik Koepfer 7-6(2), 6-2.
Two teams also advanced to the semi-finals on Thursday in Germany. Third seeds Kevin Krawietz and Horia Tecau beat Argentines Andres Molteni and Guido Pella 6-4, 6-2, while sixth seeds Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen defeated Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan 6-3, 7-6(3).

The top two seeds at the cinch Championships in London fell in the quarter-finals. Reilly Opelka and John Peers eliminated top seeds Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic, and seventh seeds Marcus Daniell and Philipp Oswald took out second seeds Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah 4-6, 6-2, 10-6.
In the other two quarter-finals, recent Roland Garros champions Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut beat Ariel Behar and Gonzalo Escobar 7-5, 6-4, and Alex de Minaur partnered Cameron Norrie past Aslan Karatsev and Max Purcell 3-6, 6-4, 10-6.
