Sock Continues Winning Ways

American defeats Vesely on Sunday in Miami

Jack Sock recorded yet another win this season on Sunday at the Miami Open presented by Itau, fighting hard under the lights to defeat Jiri Vesely 6-3, 7-6(0) and reach the round of 16.

A single break of serve was all the 13th seed needed to take the opening set. Vesely raced to a 5-3 lead in the second set, but Sock fought back to level the match and was dominant throughout the tie-break. A volley winner on his first match point wrapped up the contest after one hour and 39 minutes. Sock improves his FedEx ATP Head2Head record against Vesely to 2-0.
