Zimonjic/Verdasco Advance To Roland Garros SFs

Spaniard Fernando Verdasco and Serbian Nenad Zimonjic advanced to the Roland Garros semi-finals on Wednesday, beating Brazilian Rogerio Dutra Silva and Italian Paolo Lorenzi 7-6(5), 7-5 in one hour and 47 minutes.

The win also moves the 41-year-old Zimonjic closer to a career milestone. The right-hander, who turned 41 on 4 June, now has 698 tour-level doubles wins. If he wins the Roland Garros doubles title, he will celebrate his 700^th doubles match win. Verdasco/Zimonjic will next meet Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico and Donald Young of the U.S.
